If money was no object, where would you choose to live?
Imagine the morning after you've won the lottery and you open your eyes and realize...now what? Where do I truly want to live and what makes me feel fulfilled? Is it an estate lot with acres of green space and grand rooms? Or an urban bungalow with modern chic design, close to the heart beat of the city? Maybe a tidy condo, streamlined down to the essentials at home so you can travel the world worry free? If every house has a story, which one is your fairy tale home sweet home?

If home is where the heart is, what do you value about your home and how it relates to your quality of life? When the question of money is removed, what is left? A look into what you hold as your core values and WHY you work for a living in essence what you strive for. Close your eyes and remember a perfect day you've spent at home. When you felt amazing and happy.

• Were you alone, with family or entertaining? 
• What did it feel/look/smell like?
• What did you experience, contentment, joy, relaxation, peace, security?
• Was it done for you, or did you create the feeling with your own hands?
• What else do you notice? The colour of one room, the feeling of the floor on your bare feet.
• Where you busy or quiet and still?

Write down your answers and what you notice about your perfect day and see if you can draw out your own core values. For example a work from home mom may describe her ideal home day as; everything running smoothly, the kids going to and from school without stress or argument, the house was clean and organized everything put into its place. Her office flooded with sunlight when she sat down to work and she created big impact for her clients. Sitting out on her deck for 15 minutes after lunch with a coffee in the sunshine made her heart sing. A fresh bouquet of flowers picked by her children from the flower beds they planted as a family in the spring, in water on her island where she sits to do homework with the kids at day’s end so proud of how they are growing and learning. What values do you hear in her perfect day?

They value design, creativity, friendship, humour, affirmation. For some a minimalistic condo, clean, simple, efficient to unlock the door, home from another travel adventure.
